Just got my card last weekend. Bought a ticket on the app in the way recommended, went to the card reader at the station this morning and kept getting a red light. Not amused and want my train ticket money back. Why not do it exactly like an Otsyer card when you just simply put a balance on your card which can work at any Greater Anglia train station? I guess that’s just too simple!?

The advertisement for Trainee Mainline Driver got taken down early, so I missed the opportunity this time. I applied for the depot driver position and submitted the SJT. I'm not sure if I want to pursue a depot driver role because I'm passionate about mainline driving. Are any depot drivers from Norwich able to share some information? Like if you enjoy it and the eventual opportunity of becoming Mainline?

Could you please sort out Bishop’s Stortford station? I personally think it’s a mess and could really use a polish, redesign in footbridge, and all those disgusting rusty rails and shrubs all over the tracks should be sorted out. Same goes for the lifts. The lifts in Bishops Stortford station are really old, whereas the ones in other stations on the same line are much newer. Plus, I’m sure if you can make Harlow Town and Tottenham Hale station platforms straight, you can do the same for Bishop’s Stortford.

What about Southend

We could use this same tech for train sim

I have to say how utterly terrible these new Stadler trains are. 1. No level access throughout the train. 2. Not enough doors per carriage, getting on/ off at a busy station takes forever. 3. That stupid ‘corridor’ on the bi-mode variants, about the width of a small child and super-claustrophobic, not to mention taking valuable platform space which could be used for hmm… seats? Passengers? 4. Seat comfort. Which is TERRIBLE and particularly bad if you travelling intercity from Norwich to London. These are regional trains at best, but certainly don’t meet the standards of comfort most passengers expect or deserve. 5. First class is not distinctive enough, and no seat recline! It is marginally worse than the standard class in the old intercity Mark 3 coaches, but for todays train comfort levels, it is the best option when on one of these heinous trains. I used to love getting the train from London to Norwich, you and your new trains have made that experience miserable. 6. The tray table is minuscule. Did anyone from GA ever test whether you could put a laptop on it? What a poor service - the sooner you’re nationalised the better.

Greater Anglia, I've got a question about the toilet tanks on trains. If these modern trains already have these toilet tanks fitted, and older trains such as the HSTs like the now retired Intercity 125s are being retrofitted with them, do you think that it might be possible for the heritage coaches to be retrofitted with them too considering that they're still dumping waste onto the tracks at heritage railways and whenever they're on heritage railtours on Network Rail's lines?
